Permanon has developed a new type of coating based on the elemental mineral Si14 which is the base element of glass and sand stone. Most coatings are based on organic compounds such as waxes or polymers which are very sensitive to heat and sunlight and thus fade away rapidly. Minerals that form stone and glass are extremely resistant to all aggressive contaminants from PH1 to PH12.5, also to heat and sunlight and so do not fade away. Furthermore because Permanon’s Si14 elements are water-based and connect electro-statically rather than chemically bonding to a surface, they can be easily and rapidly sprayed on to all types of surfaces; i.e. paint, glass, steel, plastic, alloys etc. without risk of damage or affecting re-painting. Bird droppings and other aggressive contaminants will now rinse off with rain whilst all surfaces benefit from a brilliant shine and a hydrophobic effect.
